The Glendowie Heavyweight Championship is a belt created by Lewis Professional Wrestling.

In February 2015 on Cooked the LPW CEO Gareth Lewis unvieled the new Glendowie Heavyweight Championship. It was noted to have a title reign that was branched off from the original World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship first held by George Hackenschmidt in 1905 and most famously was last held as the World Heavyweight Championship in WWE by Randy Orton in 2013. It is noted that the controversial connection between the GD Heavyweight Title and the World Heavyweight Title is not officially noted by the WWE or the NWA but LPW is recognising this championship as a sibling title to the Royal World Title lineage which signifies its prestige in the LPW.

At Day of Kings Regan Lees beat Tyler White in a Ladder Match to become the first Glendowie Heavyweight Champion.

The Championship was then renamed the LPW Glendowie Championship On September 19th 2015 LPW went on a hiatus and all championship reigns were paused. This reign paused at 113 days.

On February 13th 2016 LPW returned and all championship reigns continued.
